情态动词+不带to的不定式；含有不定式的复合谓语；系动词+表语。例如：Tom should give the ticket to you yesterday.Tom昨天应该把票给你的。
复合谓语的例子
第一种是由情态动词，助动词+不带to的动词不定式构成的复合谓语： What does this word mean?
I won’t do it again.
I’ll go and move away the bag of rice with Lin Tao.
You’d better catch a bus.
第二种是由助动词+其他的动词形式构成的复合谓语。例如：
（1）I am working now
（2）I have learned English for 1 year.
复合谓语的常见形式
1．情态动词+不带to的不定式
Could you spell your name?
你能把名字拼一下么？
May I help you?
我能帮你做点什么吗?
It must be interesting．
这一定很有意思。
Where should we go?
我们该到哪里去呢?
2．含有不定式的复合谓语:
Do you happen to know her address?
你是否(恰好)知道她的地址?
They don’t seem to like the idea．
他们似乎不赞成这个想法。
We’ll have to make some changes．
我们不得不做些改动。
Did you use to live in Chicago?
你过去是在芝加哥住的吗?
They are not likely to agree.
他们同意的可能性不大。
How did you get to know him?
你怎么认识他的。
3．系动词+表语
They smell good and taste good．
它们很香，味道也好。
He turned red with anger。
他脸都气红了。
Our dreams have come true．
我们的梦想成真了。
The weather continued fine for several days．
好几天天气都很好。
He has grown quite tall．
他长得相当高了。
The milk has gone sour．
牛奶坏了。
