from是介词，作介词时意思是“从……起；从……开始；寄自，得自；来自；由……（制成）；（两地的距离）离；从；从……（到）；（使）免遭；由于；根据；与……（不同）；防；不在；从……来看；妨碍”。
from的用法
1.表示时间“从...开始”“始于” from ... to ..... 从...到....
from morning to evening 从早到晚 from 1:00 to 5:00 从一点到五点
2.表示地点“从...”
from Beijing to Guangzhou 从北京到广州 choose sth from... 从...中选择某物
3.表示“离...”
be far from sth 离...远
具体距离 + from + 地点 离某地有多远
My school is far from my home. 学校离我家很远。
Beijing is 2000 km from Guangzhou. 北京离广州有2千公里。
4.表示“来自”“从...来...” be from + 地点 come from + 地点
be from + sb 是某人送的、寄的
Tom comes from America./ Tom is from America. Tom来自美国。 The gift is from my brother. 这个礼物是我哥哥送的。 The letter is from my pen pal. 这封信是我的笔友寄来的。

be tired from sth 因为...而疲劳，劳累 be away from sth 离开某地
be made from sth 由...制成（看不出原材料） judging from sth 从...判断
