I am a graduate with a doctor's degree from Pennsylvania State University in the United States. I am determined to make a lasting contribution to my country, which is the reason why I am back. I am a twenty-eight-year-old girl. My major is chemistry and through years of hard work, I have achieved notable results. At school, I was always the top student of my class. My favorite sport is swimming, and music is the second. I often play the plano in my spare time.
If you require further information, I shall be happy to provide it. I will welcome the opportunity to have a personal interview.
I am looking forward to your response.
  Yours truly,
  Li Hua
Written Assignment 2: Writing a Summary
Summary of Tale of Two Cities
Charles Dickens' novel Tale of Two Cities. Has quite an interesting storyline. The two cities are London, England and Paris, France. The action starts out with Jarvis Lorry taking a trip down the Dover Road to go to Dover, so that he can go to France. He is interrupted by Jerry Cruncher, a graverobber. On his way to Dover, Jarvis has to stop and talk to Lucie Manette. He told her that her father was still alive in France after 18 years of imprisonment in the Bastielle. Lucie is shocked by the news and travels with Jarvis to Paris, France. Dr. Manette, Lucie's father was staying with the Jacquerie, an underground movement, in the care of Madame Defarge. Dr. Manette only knew his prisoner number and that he knew the craft of shoemaking when he saw Lucie. The doctor was nursed back to health.

Then we meet Charles Darnay, who is the nephew of Marquis St. Evremonde. He hates his uncle. He also supports the American Revolution. He dropped the St. Evremonde because he hated his uncle. Soon Charles meets Lucie Manette and falls in love with her. He goes back to England with her. Charles is put on trial in England for treason because of his support of the American Revolution. He is acquitted thanks to the help of an lawyer, Sydney Carton. Ironically, the two men look exactly alike. Later we find out that they love the same woman, Lucie Manette. They are complete opposites however. Charles is very clean-cut, while Sydney is an alcoholic. Sydney had so much promise, but his alcoholism hampered him from reaching it.

Eventually Charles marries Lucie. They have a daughter together. Lucie remains good friends still with Sydney. Charles goes back to France and is captured during the Reign of Terror because he is an aristocrat. Sydney goes to France to save Charles. They switch places because they look alike. Sydney goes to the guillotine instead of Charles. The line goes, "Tis a far far better thing I do now, then I have ever done before...". Sydney died for Charles so that he could redeem himself from his drunken lifestyle.

Written Assignment 2: Writing a Report
August 31, 20XX
To the Partners [or other appropriate terminology] Able, Baker & Co. or To John B. Able, CPA
We have performed a peer review of selected compilation engagements (report review) of the accounting practice of [Name of Firm] (the firm) for the year ended June 30, 20XX. A report review is available to firms that only perform compilation engagements under Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS) where the compiled financial statements omit substantially all disclosures. [Name of Firm] has represented to us that the firm performed no services under the Statements on Auditing Standards, no services under the Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagements, no review engagements and no compilation engagements with selected or substantially all disclosures under SSARS during the year ended June 30, 20XX.
Our review was conducted in conformity with Standards established by the Peer Review Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A report review consists only of reading selected financial statements and the accountant's report thereon, together with certain representations provided by the firm and other representations on the engagements submitted for review. The objective of a report review is to enable the reviewed firm to improve the overall quality of its compilation engagements that omit substantially all disclosures. To accomplish this objective, the reviewer provides comments and recommendations based on whether the submitted financial statements and related accountant's reports appear to conform with the requirements of professional standards in all material respects. A report review does not provide the reviewer with a basis for expressing any assurance as to the firm's system of quality control for its accounting practice, and we express no opinion or any form of assurance on that system.
As a result of our report review, we have no comments or recommendations.
John Brown, Reviewer [or Name of Reviewing Firm]
Authorized acknowledgment for the reviewed firm:
I acknowledge that there are no disagreements on significant matters.
