英语课堂教学提问的有效性和艺术性探究

      在课堂教学方面，《学记》主张启发式教学。在这本总结了儒家教育理论和经验的教育思想遗产中，有两句精辟的话：即“道而弗牵，强而弗抑，开而弗达”，主张开导学生，但不要牵着学生走；对学生提出比较高的要求，但不要使学生灰心；指出解决问题的路径，但不提供现成的答案。它精炼地概括了教师在教学上启发引导的要求和方法。孔子也有类似论述“不愤不启，不悱不发”，提出了启发的动机和时机，注重施教上启发诱导，给现实的英语教学留下了耐人寻味的思考。古希腊的哲学家苏格拉底以雄辩和与青年智者的问答法著名，他提出的“助产术”是问答法中的第三步，引导学生自己进行思索，自己得出结论。虽然古人的教育或教学思想具有一定的时代局限性，但对于提问的本质思想依然影响至今。 
        提问是课堂教学的催化剂，是课堂教学内容和形式的重要组成部分，更是实现教学目标和启发学生思维的重要方式。问题的设置体现了每位老师的教学构思，因为问题是引导学生必要的手段，但是作为英语老师，我们在每一个不同的教学过程中如何设计有效的课堂提问是十分重要的。一个好的提问可以启发学生的学习动机，激发学生的兴趣，启迪学生的智慧，唤起学生的情感共鸣，在让学生关注教学过程和培养探究精神方面起着不可忽视的作用。对于老师而言，一个好的问题不光体现在问题本身设置的质量和角度是否会促进教学，更是对教学内容的提炼和升华，甚至说是驾驭；老师作为课堂教学的组织者、引导者的作用也在设问中得以体现，高质量的提问产生的效益当然首先是课堂教学的高效益，最重要的是教师与学生在教学内容和思想上的共鸣、互动和反思。
